PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the absorption correction always accurately for the gamma-ray absorption by transmission data without frequently updating the radiation source of the transmission (external gamma radiation source). SOLUTION: Tihs SPE (single photon) CT apparatus has a collecting-condition control part 35, which controls the collecting conditions of the transmission data so that the counted value of the transmission data becomes approximately equal to the initial counted value when the transmission radiation source 2 is updated and set. The decrease of the intensity of the transmission radiation source with the elapse of time is automatically compensated, and the transmission data without deviation are obtained. The data are utilized, and the corrected RI distribution image, wherein the accurate absorption correction is performed for the RI (radioisotope) distribution image by emission data, is obtained.
