A remotely operated tool (7) partly monitors a rock surface (9) to detect loosened rock pieces (8) and partly to discharge and remove the loose rock pieces from the rock surfaces. A device produces vibrations directed towards the rock in order to promote sound emission from the loose rock pieces so that they can be located. A suitable tool is used to discharge and remove the rock pieces from the rock surface. The arrangement is such that it produces a remotely operated exchange between the monitoring tool and one or more tools for discharging and removal from the rock surface of loose rock pieces. |
