The holder temporarily secures the brush in the horizontal position, having a holding plate (1) at right angles to the wall mounting and with a portion bent downwards at the forward end containing an opening (5) for the brush. A spring (3) extends rearwards and towards the underside of the plate from the bottom edge of the downwards-bent portion, so as to grip the brush. Screw holes (4) can be provided in the mounting, and the holder can be of plastic or steel.
