The present invention discloses a process for hard-manufacturing axles without square cross section traction, for trailers and semi-trailers, said process comprising subjecting the round cross section axle without traction to transformation of the cross section thereof from round to square, by placing the axle over a press with its end sections in alignment so that a first end section remains in alignment with, and opposite to a pushing device, while a second end section remains in alignment with, and opposite to a fixed rollerholder platen, in order to subsequently actuate hydraulic devices which provide pressure to a pushing device for axially pushing the axle in the direction of the fixed rollerholder platen so as to push it through a plurality of rollers disposed in said rollerholder platen, in such a way that the cross section of said axle is transformed from round to square.
