PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a station side device, a subscriber device, and an optical communication system that can reliably and quickly restore user communication if a constant light-emission ONU has an impact on user communication.SOLUTION: An OLT 20 is a station side device for performing optical communication with a subordinate ONU 10, and comprises: an optical level measuring unit 28 that measures an optical level received from the ONU 10 if the OLT 20 causes the subordinate ONU 10 to emit light at prescribed forced light-emission timing after detecting the total cutoff of uplink communication; and an optical level management unit 24 that identifies a constant light-emission ONU on the basis of the optical level measured by the optical level measuring unit 28 and the forced light-emission timing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
