PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform automatic route-searching efficiently at a high speed by learning and storing simplified link data. SOLUTION: The nodes indicating the starting point and the destination point or a passing point are specified, and an automatic route searching program is executed. On the basis of the map data read out of a map-information memory medium 5, the link data indicating the linkages between the nodes are formed. The recommended route satisfying the specified evaluating items is automatically computed. Furthermore, a plurality of the link data constituting the recommended data are collected and simplified, and the simplified data are learned and stored in an inner memory 10. In the route searching at the next time and thereafter, the link data stored in the inner memory 10 and the map data in the map information memory meium 5 are used together. Thus, a CPU 6 can perform the automatic route searching efficiently at a high speed. |
