PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple, inexpensive limited-slip differential. SOLUTION: A limited-slip differential 1 comprises in its differential case 7 which is fixed to a driven gear 6 and filled with lubricating oil, a pair of side gears 9, a plurality of pinion gears 12 meshing with the side gears 9, and a pinion shaft member 13 journalling the pinion gears 12. The differential is further provided in the differential case 7 with blocks 20 to cover the remaining space in the differential case as well as to define minute clearances between the side gears 9, pinion gears 12 and pinion shaft member 13.
