A bio-rotor, for cleaning sewage and standing water, has a rotor body (1) composed of a row of adjacent disc plates (10) and two end plates as the side closures. Hollow balls (13) form a single layer between them, locked in place by the neighbouring plates (10) or end plates. Edge pipes (2) are at the outer circumference of the plates (10) and end plates, passing through them, with a smaller gap between them than the diameter of the hollow balls (13), and give a radial block to the single layer of hollow balls between the plates (10) and end plates.
