Blood sampling apparatus

The weighing device (1) has a pan (2) for holding the sample bag (3), a computer to evaluate the data and a storage medium (4), such as a floppy disc, hard disc or magnetic tape, which is independent of the power supplies. The pipe between the patient and the apparatus contains an electrically operated clamp (8) to stop blood flow under computer control. The pan is fitted with a tilting device to mix the stabiliser with the blood in the bag. The apparatus has a flow rate meter. The drive unit for the storage medium may be fitted in the weighing apparatus or in a separate unit.
