Reference image comparison process for image identification

The process is used to search for a three dimensional object with a field XY. The object PQ can be defined in various forms and is compared with the images available within the search field. The identification is based upon achieving the highest correlation between the defined reference images and the field images. The process computes the inverse matrix of a correlation matrix. It then computes a standard correlation between the standardised reference images to determine a correlation vector, G. The inverse matrix and the correlation vector are then used to identify the object.
