The implant has a hermetically sealed metal housing (2) contg. electronics for high frequency telemetric information transfer between a programming device and the implant and a head piece for connecting a stimulation line. The housing wall has groove-shaped recesses (3) which reduce the wall thickness. The thickness of the walls in the vicinity of the apertures is not reduced below that required to maintain the liquid-tight sealing of the housing under the operating conditions.
