Plug-in connector sleeve

The plug-in connector sleeve (1) has a reception region (2) with a reception sleeve (4) for the plug-in contact, a central base region (30) and a lead termination region (3) at the rear. The reception sleeve has a base (5), a pair of opposing sidewalls (7a,7b) and a top provided by cooperating halves (8a,8b) bent inwards from the top ends of the sidewalls and curved inwards towards the centre of the sleeve at their free ends (9a,9b). The latter cooperate with ribs (6) projecting from the surface of the base which extend in the insertion direction, for retaining the plug-in contact.
