A clothes untwining device for better washing performance is provided.During the washing cycle while running the pulsator using a motor drive, the rpm of the motor spin-shaft is sensed by a photosensor(PH-S) and input to the microcomputer to prevent twining of clothes (Stage 21).If the sensed rpm is below the rpm of no twine(160RPM), the balance control (0.3sec ON-0.5sec OFF) for regular/reverse rotation of the pulsator is carried out for 15 sec to untwine the clothes since it is considered that twining of the clothes is occurring(Stage 24). After the balance control is completed, washing proceeds by repeating these procedures from the washing cycle(20) until washing is completed.
