The fan has a rotary drum mounted in a casing to blow air axially. The drum has multiple curved vanes mounted annularly to give the air flowing circumferentially from the drum a tangential component. The radial-tangential air flow passes into an internal chamber (20) of the housing in a direction parallel to the axis of the drum. There are fixed guide vanes (15) mounted in the housing to increase the axial flow of the air in the blower casing. The expansion volume chamber (20) can be positioned at the base of the blower.
