PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the present road state or the newest addition data on-line in a car navigator. SOLUTION: An on-line data obtaining apparatus 11 accesses to a host computer 2 through a public circuit and searches the designated data in the section designated on the map of a display device 17 from the host computer to load down the searched designated data from the host computer and displays the down load designated data on the display device when the designated data is a road state and renews an addition data memory file 19 when the designated data is addition data such as sight-seeing data to display the same on the display device 17.
