摘要 A superconducting short-circuit current limiter for an alternating current network consists of a closed iron core (Fe) with a primary winding (P) which is part of an electric line (L) to be protected. A short-circuited, superconducting secondary winding is spaced apart from the primary winding on the iron core. When the nominal current is exceeded, the current cannot continue to rise in the secondary winding (S) beyond a reaction current level because of the limited current conductivity of the secondary winding. A magnetic flow results in the iron core. The iron core has in certain points or areas a small cross-section (Afe) which becomes quickly saturated with a stronger flow, magnetically decoupling the two windings and creating in the network line a current-limiting impedance. A normally conductive, resistance-affected tertiary winding (T) is arranged in direct proximity to the primary winding and is thus always closely magnetically coupled therewith. The tertiary winding attenuates transients in the event of a fault.
