Method for re=shaping hardened MDF sheets without use of grooves etc
摘要
The method involves the use of a solvent to weaken the adhesive on an MDF sheet followed by deformation by the application of higher temperatures and pressures within a hot press. The sheet is exposed to the solvent possibly within a solvent rich atmosphere or a solvent bath. The solvent can be temperature controlled between 30 deg C and 60 deg C, preferably 45 deg C. The solvent can be water or aqueous copper sulphate solution with a preferred concentration of 1 percent. The press operation can involve the application of hot plates and air curing cycles.
