The roof has a rear area and two lateral frame parts (8) which extend forwards in the vehicle longitudinal direction. The frame parts flank a movable roof part arrangement and can move between an opened and a closed end position. The frame parts guide the roof part arrangement, each frame part being connected in a foldable and movable manner with the roof rear area by a hinge arrangement. Both frame parts are provided with a function position in which they extend forwards, and a rest position in which they are inwardly folded and are fixed to an end position by a locking device. The movable roof part arrangement is formed as a lamella roof (6) and is provided with a drive transmission unit e.g. a pull-push component, which has a coupling member to compensate the pivot movement of the lamella roof parts between the opened end position and the stowed-away position.
