PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately pick up an image of an object and to improve the operability by focusing an object at a position inputted by a touch through automatic focus drive. SOLUTION: When a switch SW of an electrode key 6 at a position of an object at a focus point is touched on an LCD display section 9, focus control with respect to the object is started in a focusing area corresponding to the switch SW. Succeedingly the processing for detecting a contrast signal based on a video signal at a position having key entry is conducted and after a peak is confirmed, drive control of an image pickup section is conducted. The object at the touch entry position is focused by an automatic focus drive to pick up an object accurately and to improve the operability. |
