Hinged table on backrest of seat

The vehicle seat has a fold-down table attached to the rear surface of the backrest. The table is attached to the backrest via a hinge (32) on the top of a connecting piece (28). A second hinge (24) on the bottom of the connecting piece is directly connected to a transverse member (20) forming part of the frame (10) supporting the backrest of the seat. There is a rear cover for the backrest which may swing down with the table-top.
