Water quantity control device for electric-pump operated dishwashers

The device for dishwashers powered by an electric motor (9) driving a rotating pump (8) consists of a microprocessor (11) which monitors the parameters of movement changes in the motor shaft (10) and operates a valve (13) on the water supply pipe (12). This valve is opened as soon as parameters exceed a threshold value and remains open only until the water quantity reaches a predetermined maximum, as indicated by a flow counter (14) close to the inlet (15). The system allows for an adequate and accurate supply of water at each stage of the washing process. The same microprocessor can also be used to simultaneously control the motor. It is inexpensive to make and ensures efficient water and electricity consumption.
