Method for pre-operative planning of teeth implants, to establish drilling coordinates in jaw

The method uses a mould made respectively for upper and lower jaws, having cupped trays (3) arranged on the moulds, which are then put in an articulator. The trays are positioned with the interposing and securing of a metal arc (4) of a bite fork (5). The moulds are then removed from the articulator and with trays and bite fork are fixed in a base unit. The bite fork is spatially oriented according to the acquired primary data. The primary data is entered in a computer which establishes the complete implant coordinates based on the primary data of the native jaw. The complete coordinates of the clamped upper or lower jaw tray are determined in a NC positioning system, and entered in the computer. The primary data and the tray coordinates are calibrated in the computer and the implant coordinates are transferred to the NC system, across an interface. Drilling sleeves are then positioned and fixed using the NC positioning system at the tray according to the established implant coordinates.
