The device has a power source with photovoltaic elements (11,12), a cooling system (17) powered by the power source, at least one cooling body (3) in contact with the ambient air and cooled by the cooling system and a collection vessel for collecting the condensation (10) formed on the cooling body. The cooling body and the cooling system are thermally connected via a coolant circuit (1) which contains a coolant reservoir (2) cooled by the cooling system, a coolant pump (4), the cooling body and coolant pipes (6-8) connecting the cooling body and pump.
