Hot foil probe especially for petrol engine

The hot foil probe includes an electric insulating substrate (1) with a very low heat conductivity of a thickness (A), a width (D) and a depth (L). Temperature dependent electrical resistances (2,3) are applied to the surface facing the flow direction and at the surface facing away from the flow direction, in the form of a hot foil. The hot foils are connected in series with each other via an electrically conducting surface (8). Electrical supply lines (5,6,7) are provided for power supply and voltage measurement. A further layer (4) is provided which electrically insulates but has heat conductivity as high as possible. The insulating layer covers the electrical resistances. The width (B) of the cover is smaller than the width (D) of the probe.
