End-dimension checking method for workpiece dimension checking

The method has parallel end dimensions compared with a measured length corresponding to a standard end dimension, obtained by inserting the standard end dimension between an inductive measuring sensor (4) and a high resolution incremental measuring sensor (5) and storing the difference between the measures provided by each. The stored difference value corresponding to the length of the standard dimension can be corrected for the measuring temperature using the known expansion coefficients, via a microprocessor.
