Forming press work transfer feed

Tool stages (8) separated by a setdown station (5) are served by a common transfer feed and the associated guide rails are at least as long as the interval between the outside edges of the tool clamping faces (7). The lift and/or closing stations (10,11) allocated to any one rail are arranged in the transport direction on the righthand stand (12) of the first press and on the lefthand stand (13) of the follow-on press. The primary rail (15) is connected to a secondary slide (18) moved by a separate servomotor (20). Track rails in the primary rail are horizontally or vertically offset and each fitted at opposite ends in mirror-identical design with couplings for suction or gripper bars (17,19). The track rail traction drives are vertically superposed and the vertical-lifts (10) allocated to the guide rails are operably connected to a horizontal closer and opener device.
