Self-pumping hydropneumatic spring

The hydropneumatic suspension spring (1) incorporates a self-pumping system and has internal level regulation. There is a sealed bearing (6) for the piston rod (5) at the bottom end of the cylindrical outer casing. The bore or opening (9) of the bearing is stepped to accommodate a sealing ring (10). There is a working cylinder (2) in the centre of the casing, with a roll-membrane (14) intermediate wall at its bottom end, separating a high-pressure chamber from a low-pressure chamber (7). The working cylinder is divided into two high-pressure working chambers, (8a,b), separated by a sliding piston (17).
