A joint band consists of a sleeve-shaped hose (10) made of an elastic stretchable textile material. In the area (12) of the joint, the hose (10) has an insert (14) with a higher stretchability in the longitudinal direction (L) of the hose. In order to prevent the fabric from forming a cumbersome bulge in the bend of the joint, the insert (14) provided in the area (13) of the hose associated to the bend of the joint extends over 1/4 to 1/2, preferably over 1/3, of the circumference of the hose. The insert (14) is made of a thinner and softer material than the rest of the hose (10). |
