To improve the fuel efficiency and to ensure the drive performance, this device comprises the main speed change part containing the first and second planetary gear devices which apply speed change of the input axis rotary power rotating by the torque converter that feeds the power of the engine to 1, 2, 3 and 4, speeds by operating the plural brakes and the clutches, and the subsidiary part containing the third planetary gear device which outputs the speed change ratio of 5 speed, while being fed with the rotary power of the main speed change part through the chain.
