PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To furnish a traffic information user with traffic information meeting the demand of the user based on the starting point and destination designated by the user. SOLUTION: A traffic information furnishing system obtains data by converting in advance the traffic information in each section from a central device 11 into the traffic information of each zone block so that a traffic information user can request the system to furnish the traffic information when the user designates a starting point and a destination, prepares the traffic information meeting the demand of the user by combining the traffic information at every zone block on the route to the destination from the starting point, and furnishes the user with the prepared information through a communication line 20. Therefore, the user can select the optimum route, because the user can obtain the concrete detailed traffic information needed by the user.
