Exhaust turbocharger for IC engine

The turbocharger has an axial slide, which has a guide grid with guide blades, and which slides in a radial clearance (5) between the turbine housing and an inner guide. A ring chamber is connected between the turbine housing and a rotor as a flow connection. When the slide (4) is retracted, in which the radial ring chamber (8) is free of the guide grid (9), the slide frees a discharge aperture (11) to a discharge channel (12). The slide can be retracted axially further into another position, in which the discharge aperture is open. Both discharge aperture and channel are located in an internal guide (6).
