IMAGE PROCESSING UNIT, ITS METHOD AND COMPUTER READABLE MEMORY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain more diversified image expression through a simple operation by applying image processing to at least one image and synthesizing the processed image with an image not processed in the case of synthesizing at least two images. SOLUTION: An image read from a scanner 5 is stored in a GA9b, transferred to a VRAM 4 and displayed on an LCD 3. Then a designated area is segmented from a image and converted into a transparent image and it is stored in a PA9d. Then other image to be synthesized is read and stored in an image edit memory 9f, in which filter processing is conducted and the result is stored in a GB9c. Then the image of the GB9c and the image in the PA9d are synthesized and the synthesized image is stored in an image edit memory 9f. Then the synthesized image and the original image stored in the GA9b are synthesized and the final synthesized image is stored in the image edit memory 9f. Then the final synthesized image is outputted by transferring it to the VRAM 4 and displaying it on the LCD 3 or printing out it by a PRT 6.
