PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving mechanism for a backlashless turntable which eliminates the backlash of the turntable while providing an adequate backlash, needed for the smooth engagement of a gear transmitting the driving force of a stepping motor to the turntable, as usual. SOLUTION: The turning shaft 1 of the backlashless turntable is fitted with a worm wheel 2 coaxially. A pair of a main worm gear 3 and a subordinate worm gear 4 engages the worm wheel 2 while facing each other radially. The main worm gear 3 is fitted to one end part of the rotor shaft 6 of a main stepping motor 5 and at the other end part of the rotor shaft 6, a bearing spring 7 is arranged to energize the other subordinate worm gear 4 toward the main worm gear 3. The other subordinate worm gear 4 is fitted to one end part of the rotor shaft 10 of a subordinate stepping motor 9 and the other end part of the rotor shaft 10, a bearing spring 11 is arranged to energize the rotor shaft 10 toward the subordinate worm gear 4. |
