摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute an effective battery saving by allowing a mobile communication equipment to detect a high speed moving state based on that a time interval of end of position registration is shorter than a prescribed time. SOLUTION: A high speed movement discrimination section 14 measures an interval of a position registration end signal from a position registration control section 11 and discriminates it to be a high speed moving state when the interval of the position registration end signal is shorter than a prescribed time and provides an output of a signal denoting the high speed moving state. A power supply control section 15 that receives a control signal denoting the position registration end from the position registration control section 11 and a signal denoting reception of a simultaneous call channel signal from a base station to count an intermittent operation time T1 in the signal waiting. In the case of receiving a signal denoting failed position registration and residence at the outside of service, the control section 15 counts a second longer intermittent operation time T2, and in the case of receiving a signal denoting the high speed movement state from the high speed movement control section 11, the section 15 counts the longest intermittent operation time T3. Since the intermittent operation time corresponding to each state is set, the optimum intermittent operation time is selected and effective battery saving is attained.
