摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a device, make the device light in weight, save power consumption and improve an ignition characteristic by emitting only ultraviolet rays of specified wavelengths by forming a cold cathode fluorescent discharge tube, using glass having more nickel content and enclosing mercury amalgam. SOLUTION: Inverter circuits 2a and 2b transform DC current, supplied from a power source part 1, into AC current and supply current to cold cathode fluorescent discharge tubes 3a, 3b, 3c and 3d. These cold cathode fluorescent discharge tubes 3a to 3d are formed by using glass having more nickel content and electrodes are mounted at both the ends. Subsequently, the inside of the tube is sealed and melted after the inside has been evacuated and is filled with mercury amalgam. Thus, light is generated in an ultraviolet ray area only in the vicinity of a wavelength 365nm by the filter effect of a glass tube by increasing nicket content. Capacitors C1 to C4 for coupling and resistances R1 to R4 are added to the cold cathode fluorescent discharge tubes 3a to 3d, and light-emitting luminance is adjusted. Thus, the device is miniaturized, the device is made light in weight, power consumption is reduced, and an ignition characteristics is improved.
