摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the satellite communication equipment in which presence of a received voice signal is accurately discriminated without being affected by a surrounding environment and deterioration in the characteristic of an adaptive filter is prevented thereby. SOLUTION: A demodulator 111 demodulates a signal received by an antenna 113 to generate a synchronization frame data R2 and a synchronization frame signal FP, and also to generate a synchronization status signal C1 in this case that denotes whether or not the synchronization frame signal FP is generated for a prescribed period. Then an echo canceller 101 discriminates whether or not a voice signal is in existence based on the synchronization status signal C1 generated by the demodulator 111 and delayed at a delay circuit 114 by a prescribed time delay, then a tap coefficient to generate a pseudo echo signal is estimated and the pseudo echo signal is updated.
