The Gravity Cover is a self-operating protective device to prevent the collection of dirt, snow and ice at the air entry point of an air brake system on a trailer. Protecting this entry point will avoid the failure of the air brake system used on highway tractor-trailers. The Gravity Cover moves into place when the connection is broken and covers the most vulnerable part of the system. The Gravity Cover is attached to a "Gladhand" receptacle on the trailer. It is lifted to attach the Gladhand and falls into place whenever the Gladhand is removed. It swivels on a mounting screw which also secures the receptacle to the trailer. |
