The present invention relates to a monitor automatic input signal commutation circuit having a BNC (binary number code) signals terminal, and a D-sub (D-type sub-miniature connector) signals terminal, and a commutation method therefore, circuit having a video signal commuter which receives video signals from BNC signals terminal, and from D-sub signals terminal, a video signal processor which receives one of video signals from BNC signals terminal and D-sub signals terminal, received video signal is selected in video signal commuter, a synchronization signal commuter which receives a vertical synchronization signal and a horizontal synchronization signal from BNC signals terminal, and a vertical synchronization signal and a horizontal synchronization signal from D-sub signals terminal, a detector which receives a detecting signal which represents a connection state between D-sub signals terminal and a personal computer, a microcomputer which receives a detector outlet to generate a control signal, and a commutation controller which receives control signal to control video signal commuter and synchronization signal commuter.
