PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a good cutting and winding property by furnishing a skin film layer consisting of water soluble resin containing inactive grains of a specific average grain size and volumic shape factor on one surface of a thermoplastic resin layer containing no inactive grains. SOLUTION: The laminate film is formed with a skin layer consisting of water soluble resin containing inactive grains having an average grain size of 5-100nm and a volumic shape factor of 0.1-π/6 stuck on one surface of thermoplastic resin substantially containing no inactive grains. As the average train size is below 100nm, a slippage occurs and an anticutting property becomes worse and, on the other hand, as it is above 100nm, falling of grains takes place and cutting resisting property becomes worse. The laminate film is made such that when the ambient temperature is varied from 80 deg.C to 20 deg.C, a formula is satisfied in a relation between a dimensional displacement LN (%) in the longitudinal direction of the film and a dimensional displacement LT (%) in the width direction. Upon exceeding this, as a magnetic tape is employed, a dislocation of the magnetic truck takes place, and lowering is brought about in its electromagnetic conversion characteristics.
