PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject medicine enabling suppression of production of cytokine and suppression of adhesion by including a specific thiazole derivative. SOLUTION: This medicine comprises a compound represented by formula I [R<1> is an (alkoxy-substituted) phenyl group; R<2> is a group of formula II (R<3> is carboxyl, a lower alkoxy, etc.; (m) is 1-3)], especially preferably 6-[2-(3,4- diethoxyphenyl) thiazol-4-yl]pyridine-2-carboxylic acid as an acid as an active ingredient. The medicine is effective against various kinds of diseases accompanied by abnormality of production of cytokine e.g. TNF-α, IL-1B, IL-6 or IFN-γand can be used as an agent for especially preventing and treating chronic rheumatoid arthritis, endotoxin shock, etc.
