PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device including a photoelectric transferring device which is not affected from noise caused by dark current, and can continuously read images without flicker. SOLUTION: A photoelectric transferring device D11 has two refresh line systems rf1, rf2 and processor P1 which adds and averages data of each system. First and forth lines (g1, g4) in the refresh systems are called first system, and second and third lines (g2, g3) are called second system. By reading signals of the second system during refresh operation of the first system and vise verse, and adding and averaging data of each system per picture element, total image signals are read.
