<p>The oscillator (1) is connected to a rectifying diode (11) and to an antenna (15) in the form of an elastic element standing proud of a p.c.b.. The antenna lies below a sealed, rigid partition (31), notably of glass ceramic, on which a finger may be placed. The finger forms a capacitor whose charging increases the voltage at the output (Vs) which may be used to control the power of an appliance. Typically, the oscillator is 0-30 V at 800 kHz with a cyclic ratio of 30% d.c. and uses a 1N4148 diode. The series resistor (19) is 200 h OMEGA and the parallel resistor (23) and capacitor (25) are respectively 100k OMEGA and 10 nF. The antenna is a rod, disc, circle or spiral.</p> |
