PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a header pipe for ensuring a strength of an extended part in the pipe having the extended part. SOLUTION: In the header pipes 3, 4 of a heat exchanger comprising a plurality of tube inserting holes 9 formed in a lengthwise direction and ends of tubes 2 inserted into the holes 9, extended parts 3a, 4b extended from sites formed with the holes 9 are formed at the pipes 3, 4, and reinforcing beads 13 are formed at the parts 3a, 4a. The beads 13 have substantially the same width as those of and the same interval as that of the inserting holes 9. And, the pipes 3, 4 are formed by rounding header pipe material H of a flat plate shape in a predetermined diameter in a pipe state.
