PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience in the use of navigation system and to improve convenience when displaying an image based on data expressing map information by forming an image display part on the navigation system. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a map information supply part 15 for supplying 1st compound map information data, map information supply part 16 for supplying the data of 2nd compound information specified different from the 1st map information, image display part 23 and control unit 20 and the control unit 20 sets a display area on the map displayed as an image by the image display part 23. Then, when the map information supply part 16 can supply the 2nd compound map information data concerning the correspondent area in the display area, the image is displayed based on the 2nd compound map information data supplied from the map information supply part 16 but when the data can not be supplied, the image is displayed based on the 1st compound map information data supplied from the map information supply part 15. |
