<p>The starter contactor control has a microprocessor (5) managing supply to the starter (D) and incorporating detection of anomalies in operation of the starter motor to allow disconnection of the supply to protect the starter motor against damage. The microprocessor circuit has in addition an input (E) connected to the ignition switch (6) of the signal, which can take a position that connects a circuit (8,11,12) that generates the protection inhibit signal to the microprocessor. The inhibit signal comprises a voltage that is applied for a set period of time greater than 20 ms. The voltage is above the voltage needed to operate the microprocessor circuit but less than that needed to operate the starter.</p> |
