FIELD: surface flaw detectors for cylindrical parts such as fuel pellets for nuclear power plants. SUBSTANCE: device has facility for displacing parts being inspected which are placed in tandem at end of first quality control station, facility for checking loose end of each part as it goes through first quality control station, facility for displacing parts set on side and separately to second quality control station, facility for turning parts over from their ends to sides, facility for turning each part placed on side that goes through second quality control station, facility for checking curvilinear surface of each part as it goes through second quality control station, facility for displacing separate parts to third quality control station incorporating means for setting parts on end upon their check at first station and means for checking loose end of each part as it passes through third quality control station.
