Water from a reservoir tank (3) is mixed (13) with cleaning fluid from another tank (12) and pumped (5) to an injector (6). In the injector, compressed air (2) from a compressor (1) and the cleaning solution are mixed to form an aerosol of fine droplets of carbonic acid. The spray is channelled to a row of rotating spray heads (8). The spray leaves the spray head at a velocity of about 670 km per hour. The area is then rinsed by a lower pressure spray (16). Finally a suction head (18), powered by a suction pump (19) passes over the area, removing used cleaning fluids and detritus.
