The invention relates to a semiconductor component with a monolithically integrated or discretely configured active switching element (2), specially a triode, a tetrode, a pentode or a transistor. Said switching element (2) has a control behavior predetermined by parameters dependent on design or manufacturing. The switching element (2) is configured by a component consisting of at least one or more partial parallel connected components (a, b) arranged next to each other and having a same function. The partial components (a, b) differ from each other in at least one qualitative or quantitative parameter value. The control behavior of the active switching element (2) is determined by a static averaging of the control behavior of the individual partial components.
