The fire protection device incorporates two hoods, one on each side of a wall. In the wall is a through passage hole. The hoods on the inside are lined with fire sealing material expanding when heat increases, so that a channel is formed from the hood downwardly turned openings as far as the wall opening. Even in the wall opening, expanding fire sealing material can be fitted e.g. tubularly around the cables. If so desired, the channels in the expanding fire sealing material can in turn be lined with suitable foam material. Should a fire occur in a room, the temp. increases so that the fire sealing material expands and presses against the cables. Instead of plate in the hoods, other temp.-resistant material can be used, e.g. plaster. The fire sealing device can also take the form of a cassette which is arranged in the wall or conduit channel. |
