A car steering device consists of a device to change the step-up ratio, which is located in the middle along a steering transmission system to connect a steering wheel (10) and a turned wheel (24). The ratio is changed by driving a motor (40), and a connecting device ends operation of the motor. The connection device also connects a steering transmission system of the ratio-changing device on one steering wheel side to a steering transmission system of the ratio-changing device on one side of a turned wheel, with a fixed step-up ratio on the basis of an external signal.
